Useful information about MyMindWorks

Why have I got access to this?

You have been referred for mental health difficulties, most likely with feelings of sadness, worry or irritability.

What is MyMindWorks?

MyMindWorks is a series of resources, including videos and short exercises, to help you better understand your mind. It is built from the knowledge of a face-to-face talking therapy known as BPI (Brief Psychosocial Intervention).

Does this change my place on the waiting list?

No. Using MyMindWorks does not affect your place on the waiting list. This is an additional optional resource to help you while you wait.

How often should I use it?

You can use MyMindWorks however you want to. You can watch one video a day, or watch a whole module in one go. You can save a video to come back to it as many times as you like. There is no right or wrong way to use MyMindWorks.

Why do you ask for my phone number?

When you log into MyMindWorks, you will be asked for a phone number. We do this in case you forget your password, so we have a way to contact you to let you log back in. We will also send you automated text prompts occasionally to encourage you to keep using MyMindWorks. Your number is anonymised and does not get shared.

Asking for help

Remember that it’s okay to ask for help. It’s great that you’ve asked for support so far, to get you here. It’s always okay to ask for further help. If you like, you can ask a trusted adult to work through this content with you.
